Mia Henry
Mia Henry (she|her) is a nationally-recognized trainer, facilitator, and leadership coach. She is the CEO of Freedom Lifted, a firm providing training, facilitation and online learning grounded in justice and equity.
Previously, Mia was a founding director of the Chicago Freedom School and the executive director of the Arcus Center for Social Justice Leadership at Kalamazoo College.
In addition to degrees from Rutgers University and the University of Pennsylvania, Mia has knowledge informed by stories and instruction from family and ancestors, extensive travel, and the many relationships she has nurtured in communities across the U.S.

The course takes about 4-5 hours to complete.
Each lesson has a range of resources for participants to explore. This can take additional time, depending on how much you would like to extend your learning.

Justice at Work features three main topics -
• Part 1: Connecting Identity & Power (approximately 1 hour)
• Part 2: Understanding Oppression (approximately 90 min - 2 hours)
• Part 3: Working for Justice (approximately 1 hour)

Justice at Work includes a variety of interactive lessons to benefit diverse learning styles.
Many of the lessons are presented in video format with closed captioning and supplemental text resources for continued learning. There are some text-only lessons throughout the course, as well as discussion-based lessons. These take place in the online discussion forum within the course. The course also includes a workbook that you can print or fill-out digitally.

Groups of 10 or more can receive lower enrollment rates.
For groups who desire to have a more intimate and focused training experience, we recommend a Justice at Work private course. This offers rolling enrollment for up to 500 participants, plus a private discussion forum. ption

Anyone enrolled in Justice at Work can join Mia at the monthly Zoom session - Freedom Lifted Family Hour. Mia also hosts a monthly call for Justice at Work participants who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC).
