Suggested Training Timeline
Possible Formats for Debrief Discussions (“team talks”)
We recommend 60-90 minutes for each team talk. For a sample agenda, discussion questions and activities, and facilitation tips, please see the Justice at Work Discussion and Facilitation Guide.
The following are different ways you can discuss the training content as you move through the online course:
Hold large group conversations that bring everyone together who is taking the course. These debriefs can occur after participants complete each section of Justice at Work, or at regular intervals.
Host departmental debriefs that only include people who work closely together on a regular basis. The department or area conducts their own conversations about the material and how it applies to their work.
Pair each participant with a learning partner or assign to a small group. Pairs or groups can be purposely designed to encourage cross-departmental relationship building. Offer a range of dates when pairs or groups can meet to debrief.
Offer drop-in or optional debrief spaces for those who want to continue the conversations in less formal setting (i.e. lunch and learns or brown bag discussions). These may include an activity from the discussion guide, a talk about a resource featured in the course, or focused time to reflect with others how the material applies to your context or work.
